Job Description
As the Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for speaking to the outside world and focused on helping buyers understand how WhizAI solves their problem. You will identify the value proposition for the ideal customer profile(s) and frame it in customer-centric ways, tapping into success metrics and language most relevant and accessible to the buying customer.
Responsibilities
- Market intelligence—be the expert on our life sciences commercial operations and activities and the buyers - who they are, how they buy and their key buying criteria
- Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
- Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas in the life sciences and healthcare industries
- Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn
- Develop a product marketing plan in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers
- Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support our products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes
- Plan the launches of any net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
- Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements and written works
- Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in the life sciences industry with a solid understanding of the business challenges on the commercial side of the business.
- 5+ years experience as a product marketing for a B2B software company
- Strong relationship-building skills with the aptitude to work collaboratively and independently
- Superior writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect the dots with a broad audience
- Proactive work ethic with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must enjoy working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to work within a virtual global team environment
- Knowledge of data and analytics trends in the business intelligence (BI) domain
- Knowledge of AI, ML and NLP based augmented analytics-based products/solutions
- Ability to distill complex concepts into easy-to-understand frameworks and presentations
